Twitter Interview with Eilish McColgan- 20/07/12

#cgf10questions is the CGF's regular Twitter series where each month we interview a Commonwealth athlete about their lives, ambitions, training routines and what motivates them.

We're incredibly proud of all our Commonwealth athletes, and #cgf10questions gives you the chance to ask your own questions too – just join in or send an email to cgf10questions@thecgf.com.

Scottish steeplechaser Eilish McColgan is our next #cgf10questions interviewee on Friday 20th July at 1pm London time.

This month, Eilish was selected for Team GB and so will be competing in the 3000m steeplechase at London 2012 Olympic Games. Formerly a competitor at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India; Eilish is the daughter of Scottish double Commonwealth-Gold medallist Liz McColgan.

Eilish has made a fantastic recovery from a serious foot injury last year (she broke a bone in her foot at the 2011 World Championships) to qualify for London, and in recent months has achieved Olympic A standard, smashed the UK under-23 record, set a Scottish record as well as setting her own personal best time for the event.
