Aden

In the 1930s, Aden was ruled as part of British India and was known as the Aden Settlement. Then in 1937, the Settlement was detached from India and became the British Colony of Aden.

Aden sent a team to the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, Western Australia. In 1963 the colony was merged with the Federation of South Arabia and athletes from Aden went on to represent South Arabia in the 1966 Commonwealth Games. The Federation of South Arabia was abolished in 1967.
